Tax memo drafting, export chat as PDF, and Form 1040 dependent support.
Welcome back to Feather Pulse. This week: tax memo drafting, PDF exports, and Form 1040 dependent support.
Feather now drafts tax memos directly from your research conversations. Ask a tax question, get a detailed answer with citations, then click the Memo action to turn it into a formatted memo you can send to a client or drop into a file. The template is structured around the standard facts-law-analysis-conclusion format and picks up the relevant IRC sections and citations from the conversation automatically.
Any chat can now be exported as a PDF. Open the chat menu and select Export as PDF. The export preserves the full conversation thread, citations, and any formatted calculations. Useful for client files, peer review, and audit documentation.
The tax prep workflow now handles the dependents section of Form 1040. Add dependents with name, SSN, relationship, and residency details. Dollar amounts throughout the form now round to whole-dollar figures consistent with IRS instructions.
When you delete a chat, Feather now offers to delete the associated Safe folder as well. Previously, Safe folders had to be removed separately. The prompt appears at deletion time and is opt-in.
That's all for this week. New here? Try Feather free, see pricing, or subscribe to the Feather Tax Brief for weekly IRS guidance. Take care!
