This week we shipped AI-generated task lists inside chat, and a citation search tool for MCP. Here's what landed.
AI task lists in chat
Feather's AI tax assistant can now build and display a live task list during complex tax research. As the agent works through a multi-step question, it shows a checklist of steps it's taking or recommending - updated in real time. You can see what's been covered and what's left at a glance.
MCP citation search tool
MCP integrations can now call a new citationSearch tool. It runs site-search-backed citation lookups with automatic jurisdiction filtering, so tools built on top of Feather get source-linked answers just like the chat. When a single jurisdiction is detected, results are scoped to it; when multiple apply, the full set is returned to avoid gaps.
