This week we added temporal awareness to RAG and launched the AI tax tool comparison page..

Welcome to our weekly update. This week we added Temporal Awareness so that answers match the right tax year. We also launched the Tax AI Assistants comparison page.
Here's a look at what's new and improved:
Temporal Awareness for RAG: We've upgraded our Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) system with temporal awareness. Now, Feather analyzes the timing of laws, cases, and regulations, and considers the specific dates of your questions. This means when you ask about a rule, Feather can distinguish between current guidance and prior-year details, ensuring you always get answers that reflect the correct time frame. Whether you need the most recent update or precedent from previous years, our system surfaces the most timely and contextually appropriate information for your research. The feature is currently in Alpha version and will be released globally by the end of this week.
We're continually expanding our web presence and making it easier for you to find valuable information:
Tax AI Tool Comparison Page & Evaluation Framework: We launched a comparison page forTax AI Assistants so you can explore options side by side, plus a transparent "How we evaluate" framework that shows how each tool performs on accuracy, citations, legal reasoning, and practical guidance. You can assess every solution using clear, consistent criteria.
Your interaction with our platform is important, and we've addressed several areas to make it smoother and more visually appealing:
Mathematical Formulas Display Correctly: No more broken layouts! Responses containing mathematical formulas will now render perfectly, ensuring clarity and readability.
Preventing AI Loops: We've implemented a frequency penalty on each step of the AI's generation process. This crucial fix prevents the model from getting stuck in repetitive loops while generating the response.
That's all for this week's changelog.
Take care!
